I'll begin this post by stating the facts: I am not a skincare boff'. Like a billion other girls on this planet, I am still figuring out this thing called "the perfect routine". This of course means trying and testing an inordinate amount of products which (when spoken truthfully) end up on an abandoned shelf with many others just like it.
A couple of posts ago I had received the Garnier Micellar Waters to review. Long story short - I broke out. Combined with the fact that breakouts for me are rare and that the micellar waters claim to be suitable for sensitive skin, I was somewhat confused.
Of course I halted all use and begun my search again for a cleansing micelle solution that would work for me. I had had my eye on Bioderma Sensibio H20 for some time but I always delayed making it to checkout because of the price tag. I'm no prude but 200 bucks for a cleansing WATER? Uhhhh.... Needless to say I eventually caved and well, here we are.
Now, you're probably wondering if its up on an abandoned shelf with many others like it (*cough* Garnier) and the answer is a big fat NO. Like myself, a lot of bloggers noticed that the Garnier Micellar Water appeared more "soapy" than the Bioderma Sensibio H20. This "soap" could have been the cause of my irritation but I cannot say for sure. The Bioderma Sensibio H20P left my skin without any soapy residue on my skin at all so this might be a game changer for some.
If your skin isn't troublesome and you are thinking of picking up one of the two in-store, Garnier is available at a much more pleasing price point - R65 for 400ml at Dis-Chem while Bioderma remains about R198.
Let me know your thoughts if you have tried either!
