L'Oréal Paris Infallible Fixing Mist - R199.95
A huge fan of setting sprays, I don't believe one could have too many. This version from L'Oréal is what you'll need post-makeup to set it in place and extend its wear. Did I love it? Not exactly. The first time I used it, I was covered in white powdery splotches leaving me to have to redo certain areas of make-up. I still had high hopes so I consulted Google and found plenty other women with similar experiences the first time 'round.
I gave it another go, shaking
very well and spraying a good 20-25cm away, but still the result was the same. There are beads at the bottom of the fixing mist to help break up this powder but it simply doesn't agree with deeper complexions. The white particles, although microfine in size are completely visible on the skin making it difficult to distract from.
L'Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Powder - R199.95
I've heard many great things about the L'Oréal Paris True Match range so I was excited to hear a powder would be launching. This formula is creamy and is infused with mineral pigments that improve the look and feel of skin.
While this powder was a little too dark for my complexion, I opted to use it as a contour powder. It's a pleasure to work with when setting my cream contour and I absolutely love the matte finish. It comes in convenient compact packaging equipped with a mirror and an application sponge that'll come in handy when visiting the ladies.
L'Oréal Paris Infallible 24H Waterproof Stylo Eyeliners - R149.95
Liners, the little black dress of your beauty shelf. You can trust these L'Oréal Infallible liners to be waterproof and last you an insane amount of time. Through a hand swatch test it was determined that these don't easily budge making for a great addition to your waterline when a smokey eye is what you're after.
L'Oréal Paris False Lash Superstar Red Carpet Black Mascara - R189.95
This may be my favourite out of the bunch. Double-sided, this mascara comes with a primer wand and a mascara wand. These days I don't go without an eyelash primer so I was happy I didn't have to reach for another. The primer lifts and elongates lashes prepping them for optimal mascara application and with this one, you truly get the false lash effect. As tiny as my lashes are, I loved the result and will definitely keep reaching for it!
L'Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Max Designer Lip Pen - R169.95
Insatiable when it comes to matte lips, I was super intrigued with L'Oréal's take on the cult beauty trend. These matte lip pens apply with a powder. So, when opening the cap, you dip it back in when you wish to scoop out more product.
Yeah, it took me several minutes to figure that one out. The result is an opaque pop of colour that is still wearable in a business environment. Also, the applicator is a sponge so its super comfortable when contact is made on the lips and the powder itself isn't drying but creamy.
